Student loans for forensic accounting

Forensic accounting education involves coursework in asset recovery, auditing, loss prevention and fraud detection. These accountants are in high demand across multiple areas in the finance industry.  The duration of the course is one year (full time) and three years (part time). You can make the choice depending on your individual needs and requirements.

Eligibility requirements – Students wishing to enroll in the course need to have completed graduation or equivalent. The eligibility criteria may vary from one university to the other and it is best to gain knowledge about them so that you may be able to apply correctly.

Fees – The fees for full time students may be £6,000 and £2,000 for part time students. International full time students may be required to pay a fee of £11,000 and £4,000 for part time per annum. The fee structure may vary depending on the institution and it is advisable to learn more about it before starting the loan process.

Students wishing to apply for forensic accounting course may apply for loans so that they do not feel any financial burden in completing the course. They can apply for tuition fee loans, maintenance loans and grants. The students may have to satisfy certain conditions to become eligible for the loans offered by different universities.

Tuition loan eligibility – Full time and part time students can apply for a tuition loan if they are living in UK or EU nationals. Full time students are eligible for a loan of £9,000 and those studying at a private college or university are eligible for £6,000. Part time students are eligible for a loan of £6,750 and those studying at a private college or university are eligible for £4,500.

The loans are paid directly to the college or university and students need to pay them back on completion of the course according to the terms specified when taking the loan.

Maintenance loans – These loans are provided to students for the living costs and to become eligible for the loan you need to be a full time English student. EU and part time students may not be able to apply for the loan. You are also not eligible for the loan if you are over the age of 60.

Students applying for this loan may have to provide details of their household income. The loan is deposited directly to the bank account when the term starts. If you are living at home you may get a loan of £4,418. Those living away from home get a loan of £5,555.

Maintenance grant – Only full time English students may be able to apply for these grants. EU and part time students are not eligible. Household income and course details need to be provided to get the loan. Although students do not have to pay back the grant, it may reduce the maintenance loan that they get.

It is best to gain knowledge about the different types of loans and the eligibility requirements so that you may be able to apply for them easily.
