Before you buy a new device, it is always advisable to do some research so that you can compare the options available and make a good choice.  You can choose to compare the tablets available in the market on many different criteria and these include operating system, screen size, price, battery life, processor, memory hard drive, weight and webcam.

How do you plan to use the tablet?

One of the first things that you need to do before buying the new android tablet is to think about how you want to use it.  Do you want to use it for browsing?  Do you want to watch movies or play advanced games?  Do you want to check your email and type documents?  Do you intend to use it for personal or professional work?  Do you want it to replace your laptop or intend it use it along with it?

When you start answering all these questions, you may be able to determine everything from the screen size to the operating system and other features.  You may be able to shortlist the latest tablets you want to buy easily if you are clear about what you want to do with your device.

Comparing operating systems

After you have identified your specific needs, you need to focus on the operating system available on the tablet of your choice.  All android tablets use the android operating system and these operating systems enable you to multitask easily.  You may be able to browse the internet, type emails and documents on the same screen easily with this operating system. You may be able to view and edit documents and spreadsheets and make PowerPoint presentations without much of an effort.

Compare features

After you have decided on the operating systems, you can choose to compare the many different features of the new android tablet you wish to buy. You can choose the standard Wi-Fi model or opt for the 3G or 4G connectivity model depending on your usage and budget.

Storage or memory space is another important feature that you need to focus on.  Most of the latest tablets come with a memory space of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.  The other features you can choose to compare include camera and add on accessories.

You can check to see if the tablet has front and rear cameras or only one camera.  The add-on accessories you need to compare include external keyboard, stand, speakers, remote control and wall mounts.  It is advisable to look at the full selection of available tablets in the market before you make the final choice.  This can enable you to get the best deal and save money.
