Chevy Impala – Performance & Fuel Economy
The Chevy Impala has a 3.6 liter V-6 engine with six-speed transmission. The engine can run on regular unleaded petrol and produces 300 horsepower and 262-pound feet of torque. It has a smooth and quiet operation compared to other vehicles in the same size and weight class. The six-speed transmission has a wider gear span and this ensures fast acceleration and passing. Chevy Impala has an EPA highway rating of 29 miles per gallon. The gas mileage is comparable with other full sized sedans.
Chevy Impala – Features
The new Chevy Impala has updated its infotainment feature and has the latest in connectivity and entertainment. The standard features of this sedan include Bluetooth and keyless entry, cruise control, power windows and mirrors, steering wheel controls and AM, CD and FM player with satellite radio.
The midgrade LT features include remote start, flip and fold rear seats, touring suspension, dual zone automatic climate control and 17 inch machined aluminum wheels. LTZ features include a Bose sound system, heated mirrors, leather upholstery, fog lamps, garage door opener, W-rated tires on 18-inch wheels.
Chevy Impala – Interior & Exterior
The interiors of the Chevy Impala are roomy and it can seat six passengers easily. This is one of the big strengths of this car and is something that you may not find in other sedans of the same size and weight. The gauges and controls are arranged in a systematic manner and this does not complicate things. There are no complicated interfaces and buttons and this can make your life easy while driving.
Chevy Impala – Safety & Quality
The Chevy Impala fares quite well in the crash tests that are conducted by the National Highways Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The ratings are good for front and side impact. The other standard safety features include traction and stability control, anti-lock brakes, side and curtain airbags and parking sensors.
The seats are wide and flat with a comfortable foam feel. There is also ample head and shoulder room and even the back seats provide ample space. This ensures that even a tall person can sit comfortably in the back and enjoy the ride.
The LT and LTZ models are available with rear folding seats. The folding seats can open up the trunk and cabin. The cabin is quite and refined in a simplistic way. The performance and responsiveness of the car has also improved a lot. It is still affordable and this is why it sells a lot.
