If you are in the market for buying the best mini tablets, you may be daunted by the sheer variety of tablets that are on offer. There
are not only a vast number of devices to choose from but each manufacturer also
offers unique features and operating systems at prices that vary dramatically.
Apple iPad Mini 3
– The battery life and display of this tablet are amazing. The addition of
touch ID feature makes it interesting. However apart from the touch ID and gold
option, you may find that it is identical to the earlier version. The lack of
big upgrades is disappointing.
Nvida Shield Tablet
– This tablet has a new processor (Tegra 1). It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and
has an expandable micro SD card storage. It provides complete access to Google Play
app store. The plastic chassis look cheap and there are not many Android games
that support the K1 processor. The game controller required to play most games
has to be bought separately.
Amazon Kindle FireHDX 7 – It is armed with a powerful processor that greatly enhances its
overall performance. The screen is sharp and the small light design feature is
apt for reading books. The buttons at the back of the tablet are sometimes hard
to find. Most apps are not available due to non access to Google Play app
store.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S
– The tab has a slim design and high definition display. It runs on the latest
version of Android KitKat. First time Android users may find the much bundled
software difficult to understand and use.
LG G Pad 8.3 – The
new edition of this tab features Android with Google Now integration and this
enables it to receive the latest updates. It is not as elegant as the other
tabs in the same category.
Look at the different options available so that you get a
reasonable idea of what you need.
